Techniques Used

Therapeutic Bodywork releases chronic tension and awakens the body’s natural healing abilities. A Variety of techniques reduce stress, relieve pain, and restore the body to optimal functioning.

Acupressure is an ancient Chinese form of healing based on the principles of acupuncture. It involves the use of finger pressure on specific points along the body, as well as many different percussive hand techniques. Acupressure can release muscular tension, promote circulation and awaken the body's life force. Acupressure can aid in the recovery from injury or illness, and as well as support the body for physical training and performance.

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the Craniosacral system. This is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch, the practitioner releases restrictions in the Craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. The first thing people often notice is a sense of deep relaxation. With subsequent treatments this release of tension often extends into everyday life. This work can address physical aches and pains, acute and chronic disease, emotional, psychological, or developmental difficulties, or simply help to develop well-being, health and vitality.

Lomi Somatic Work addresses the physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of healing and performance using the body as a guide. It is an exploration into how the body has absorbed and responded to the events in one's life. Using body, movement, and breath awareness, Lomi Somatic Work facilitates self healing and discovery illuminating new internal resources and options. This can be helpful in any healing process as well as a tool for personal growth and performance.

Middendorf Breathwork is based on bringing presence and sensory awareness to our natural breath, free from the human will. Our breath, which in every moment keeps us alive, lies deep in the unconscious. Middendorf Breathwork awakens the body and mind to a powerful and wise source of vitality that lies deep within us and is connected to all of life. Each session provides a gentle form of bodywork to facilitate the free flow of breath throughout the body. This, in turn, supports all types of healing, physical training, and performance.
